Presto 9979 Pressure Indicator
The pressure regulator/steam release valve fits onto the vent pipe located on the primary cover handle. It indicates when 15 pounds pressure is reached and conrols pressure inside the unit. A steady flow of steam escaping from the pressure regulator/steam release valve and the sound of the steam venting indicates that proper cooking pressure is being maintained.
